I cannot believe this. I have never been so ashamed to live here. My state just passed the amendment banning gay marriage. It defined marriage as "a union between one man and one woman."

What is that??? Seriously, some of my gay friends *cried* when they found out. This is just as bad as the law that used to ban interracial marriage. I'm still just... in shock that so many people could be such hateful bigots.

Well, people who voted for Amendment Two, thank you so much for ruining the wonderful election of Barack Obama. It seems like we break down one prejudice barrier just to have another one spring up.
